Jim Sellers, General Manager
Jim Sellers has been with ServiceMaster for 32 years. He began as a Production Assistant in 1978 and eventually became a Crew Chief. In 1986 he was the Regional Franchisee Training & Support Manager for Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland and Delaware for ServiceMaster. A decade later he was the Director of Franchise Markets for ServiceMaster in Washington, DC, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina and South Carolina. He is currently the General Manager of ServiceMaster of Arlington, Bethesda, Chantilly, Reston & Manassas, Inc.and has been since 1998.
Not only has he served in these various roles, but he is trained and certified to teach carpet and upholstery cleaning, wood floor and water damage mitigation. He has also been trained in Subrogation, HazWoper (Hazardous Work Operations and Emergency Response and Mold Remediation. Many insurance agents and adjusters in the Metropolitan DC area are familiar with Jim as one of our Continuing Education instructors.
Sam Thompson
Sam has been working in the restoration industry for over 10 years after serving 21 years in the United States Air Force. His construction background, as a young adult, has been the foundation for understanding and applying the principles of water mitigation, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleaning and odor control. Formal training in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Control, and Carpet Cleaning with The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification and EPA certified as a Lead-Safe Renovator. Common sense application of the scientific principles in restoration and a strong advocate for customer service allow Sam to manage production of work under the most stressful of circumstances with an empathetic demeanor.
Ed Cavalheri
Ed has been in the industry for over 17 years. His experiences have ranged from Cleaning Supervisor, to Special Services Manager for a regional building maintenance company, to Warehouse Manager and Estimator. His certifications in Water, Fire and Odor through the IICRC, along with the RRP certification through the EPA and the CMRC certification, have led him to be an effective estimator. He is a certified Continuing Education instructor in Virginia and Maryland and often requested. Ed has an honest and personable approach to cleaning and disaster restoration needs for homeowners and businesses.
Abbas Sindi
He started out with us as a Helper in 1996 and has worked his way up to Crew Chief, Assistant Manager, Project Manager and is now in the field as our Customer Relations Liason. Through all of these jobs he has become familiar with the cleaning and disaster restoration process from start to finish. He is currently using his expertise in communicate with the adjusters, homeowners and business owners, to figure out logistics by reducing interruptions. He works to "tell them exactly what will happen, step by step and reassure them it will all be taken care of". For many homeowners and business owners he knows that often the disaster they are dealing with "is a headache at the time, but when it is put back together it is better than it was before".
